City of Calgary looking for census workers

The City of Calgary is looking for workers to collect information for the 2019 census.

There are three worker positions available this year:

  • Census outreach workers
  • Census workers
  • Census on-street supervisor

Census outreach workers will be assigned shifts at locations such as the libraries, where they will help citizens fill out their census online.

Census workers will go door-to-door visiting Calgary homes collecting census information using tablets. The on-street supervisor will be responsible for regular communication with a group of census workers.

The census team will collect valuable information used in many aspects of city planning and service delivery.

Positions require that you are a self-starter, well organized and comfortable communicating with members of the public.

The online census opens April 1, the remainder of households who do not participate online can expect a knock on their door beginning in late April.
