Central Alberta bracing for heavy snowfall

Environment Canada has issued a travel advisory for Central Alberta through the weekend.

Between 15 to 30 centimetres of heavy snow is expected in the coming days, leading to poor driving conditions and low visibility on highways stretching from Jasper to Lloydminster, including the city of Edmonton.

A few flurries are in the forecast Friday for Calgary, with temperatures expected to drop in the afternoon.
