Sunshine Village offering summer skiing for the first time since 1991

Sunshine Village plans to reopen one chairlift and the surrounding runs for six days starting on Tuesday.

This will be the first time in over 30 years that the resort will be open this late in the ski season, and only the second time in the resorts nearly 100 years of operation.

Some runs have been groomed, and the Strawberry Express chairlift will open on June 28. Sunshine Village hopes to keep operating until July 3rd.

The Village already welcomes people up in the mountains in the summer for hiking and sightseeing - the Standish Express chairlift will be open for these activities.

Tickets are $59, but anyone who has pre-purchased season passes for 2023 can ski this upcoming week for free.
