Edmonton's Chris Sadleir getting ready for his 2nd Walk to Breathe

After a successful 2020, Walk to Breathe will be returning in 2021 with a longer route

Back in August of 2020, Edmonton's Chris Sadleir left on an 11 day walk from Calgary to Edmonton, stretching 330km.

The walk was set to raise $22,000 to support people who are dealing with lung disease and increase the awareness of it's range of effects. Chris's motivation came from his father, who had a double lung transplant.

The walk exceeded all expectations bringing in more than $33,000 for the cause raising more awareness and engagement than Sadleir had hoped for.

This year, Sadleir is raising the bar higher, he will increase his trip from Lethbridge to Edmonton which is over 500km. He's raising his goal to raise $50,000 for the Lung Association of Alberta and the Northwest Territories.

It'll all get started on July 7th in Lethbridge, Sadleir will walk 30km each day until he reaches Edmonton on July 23rd.
