National Indigenous History Month opening ceremonies

You are invited to join Calgary Public Library for National Indigenous History Month opening ceremonies, on Saturday, June 4 at Central Memorial Park.
The event will include an opening blessing by an Elder, Grand Entry with dancers, dignitaries, and flag bearers, and a mini powwow.
Stew and frybread will be served.

Time: 1:00 – 4:00 pm
Location: Central Memorial Park, in front of Memorial Park Library (1221 2 Street SW)
Men, Women, Two-Spirit, teens, children, and tiny-tots are invited to showcase their dance styles. Dance categories include Traditional, Grass, Fancy, Jingle, and Chicken.
