Due to recent snowfall and cold temperatures, roads in and around the city of Calgary are slick in sections and motorists are being advised to slow down and drive to the conditions.
Calgary police say in the last 24 hours, there have been 114 crashes, eight involved injuries
Crews are out plowing the major routes and they are laying down a mixture to improve driving conditions on those roadways.
Crews continue to plow and put sanding chips down on the main roads. Drivers need to be extra cautious as slippery conditions persist, especially on flyovers, ramps, hills, bridges and at intersections. Slow down! And prepare to stop far back from intersections. #yyctraffic pic.twitter.com/wlNtj6fQby
