A high number of overdoses have prompted the Blood Tribe Police to issue another warning to drug users in southern Alberta. In just the last 48 hours, police have responded to seven overdoses in the community, with one being fatal.
"This is abnormally high and we would like to caution residents of Southern Alberta"
A similar warning was issued in November, when the deadly drug carfentanil was blamed for 22 overdoses in the span of 48 hours.
