Bandits stand alone in record book after 25th straight win

 

The Brooks Bandits have set a record in the Alberta Junior Hockey League

A win over the weekend against the Fort McMurray Oil Barons, has the club with 25 wins in a row.

The team is first in the league and is now three wins away from the record for most wins in a single season in the AJHL

Brooks next game is set for Wednesday night when they battle the Olds Grizzly's

Okotoks set the record last year with 24 wins before losing to Spruce Grove in the AJHL Finals.

The Bandits outshot Fort McMurray 22-19 in the game, going 1 for 5 on the power play and a perfect 3 for 3 on the penalty kill. They will attempt to extend the record streak to 26 games on Wednesday night.
