There will be a significant warming trend this week for Alberta and British Columbia, as temperatures soar into the double digits.
Parks Canada warn people who are heading into avalanche prone areas to keep track of their regional avalanche forecasts at www.avalanche.ca. Limiting travel in these areas is highly recommended due to very dangerous conditions.
Anyone entering the risk area needs to have essential rescue/survival gear including a transceiver, probe and shovel.
For individuals who are still wanting to explore front country, many of the trails could be in the path of avalanche terrain. Plan your route in advance, accordingly.
