The Owners of FresK-O Cheese, brother and sister duo Andreina and Oscar Chavez, appeared on the CBC show Thursday Oct 24
Their company produces a line of handmade Latin cheeses at a facility just outside Lethbridge, along Highway 4.
FresK-O Cheese is currently sold in select grocery stores around Alberta, and the Chavezes were looking for a Dragon to partner with in order to grow their distribution.
The owners ended up accepting a deal with Arlene Dickinson for $200,000 and a 25-percent share in their business.
Dickinson said she wanted to address challenges the company faces or might face like shipping, packaging, and the general public’s awareness of their traditional Latin American style cheeses.
