Desiree Dorion


Desiree Dorion is one of Manitoba’s most celebrated women in country music. 

In 2017, the Cree Singer from Opaskwayak Cree Nation in Manitoba took home the award for Songwriter of the Year at the Manitoba Country Music Awards for co-writing "Whiskey Knows" with Chris Burke-Gaffney. 

Dorion's previous albums have garnered a large number of nominations & awards, including at the 2014 JUNO Awards, 2013/2014 Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards and the 2013 Indian Summer Music Awards.
