Residents of Calgary zone with symptoms now eligible for COVID-19 testing

Premier Jason Kenney said Alberta's goal is to reach 20,000 COVID-19 tests per day

All residents of the Calgary zone are now eligible for COVID-19 testing if they have a cough, fever, runny nose, sore throat, or shortness of breath.

This is due to the Calgary area having persistently higher numbers of COVID-19 than the rest of the province.

To book a test, AHS asks that Calgarians go through the online assessment tool.

Do not visit a hospital, physician’s office, lab or healthcare facility without consulting Health Link 811 first, only call 911 if you are seriously ill and need immediate medical attention. Inform them of your symptoms.

Anyone over 65 in Alberta is also eligible for testing.
