Representatives from 48 First Nations in Alberta will discuss economic opportunities with Premier Kenney, Monday

Alberta Indigenous Leaders are scheduled to meet with Premier Jason Kenney and Indigenous Relations Minister Rick Wilson at a meeting Monday at Government House in Edmonton.

According to the province, topics will include discussions about the $1-billion Aboriginal Opportunities Corporation,  Indigenous involvement in the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion project and wildfire relief.

Many chiefs are planning to attend the meeting, with other First Nations sending representatives.

The meeting begins at 11:30am at Government House.  Premier Kenney is expected to give opening remarks at 1 pm followed by a news conference, scheduled for 4:15 pm.
