Metis week events - Calgary

Métis Week, November 10-16, is an opportunity for the Métis in Alberta to share their stories, history, and culture with the rest of the world. We welcome everyone to join us throughout the week to help us commemorate and celebrate the life of Louis Riel, our history, and our contributions to Canada.

 

Tuesday 

Flag raising at Calgary city hall at 12pm

Lunch at Aboriginal friendship Center of Calgary Indigenous Hub 1:30-3pm

Genealogy lesson at Calgary central library 11-3pm featuring Darcy McRae

 

Wednesday

Open house at Metis Calgary Family Services 11-1pm

352 Sunvale Drive SE

Calgary central Library music and dance 11-2pm featuring Leo Dumont, Billy Joseph and the Acuna Dancers

 

Thursday

Rupertsland open house 1-4pm

Friday

Seniors Dinner at the Clarion Hotel
