Central Library is celebrating its first birthday on Saturday

It has been quite the year for the building, being featured in best-of lists by The New York Times and the BBC since opening in 2018

To celebrate the occasion, and to thank members, supporters, and the community, the Calgary Public Library will be hosting a celebration Friday and Saturday!

On Saturday, celebrations kick off at 9am, and the first 500 people through the doors will receive a gift.

Calgary Central Library will also be hosting a Round Dance on Saturday, as part of its 1 year birthday celebrations from 12:00-12:30pm.  They are hosting a friendly competition to beat an unoffical Canadian record of 401 people.  Everyone welcome to participate!
